The Junior Auxiliary's 6th Annual Spin of Steel
Skin of Steel’s mission is to provoke revolutionary personal, behavioral and institutional change in dealing with melanoma. The Junior Auxiliary promotes sun safety awareness and prevention of melanoma while also raising funds for melanoma research. All 4 U.S. branches of the international melanoma tissue bank are OPEN for sample collection. Over $90,000 has been raised at Spin of Steel since 2016 and these funds have helped purchase freezer storage and barcoding equipment. Funds are still needed for continued sample collection, including at our local branch at Northwestern University's Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.
